Record, import and track orders.
- How do I record a sale?In Orders choose Record a sale, add products and quantities, pick a walk-in, existing or new customer, set the date, payment and fulfillment status, and save.
- Why can’t I record a sale with a future date?A sale that has not happened yet cannot be recorded. Choose today or an earlier date.
- How do I import past orders?Choose Import past orders in Orders and upload a CSV or Excel file with at least a product and quantity column. You will see a preview before saving.
- Why was my order import rejected as being in the future?Order dates are compared to the current date in your business’s own timezone. A date later than today in that timezone is rejected; check the date column and your business timezone in Settings.
- What do the payment statuses mean?Unpaid, paid and refunded describe the order’s payment state. Anchor records the status you set; it does not process the payment itself.
- What do the fulfillment statuses mean?Unfulfilled means not yet delivered or handed over; fulfilled means it has been.
- How do orders get created from quotes?When you accept a quote in Quotes (Accept and create order), Anchor creates the order from it.
- Where do I see my orders?Open Orders. Columns show items, total, payment, fulfillment and when the order was placed.
- Does Anchor take payments from my customers?No. Anchor records payment status but does not take customer payments; use your existing payment method.
- Can I change an order after it is created?You can update its payment and fulfillment status in Orders.
- Why are orders empty on a new account?Orders appear after a customer accepts a quote or you record or import a sale. A new business has none yet.
- How does a sale affect analytics?Recorded and imported orders feed sales, top sellers, repeat customers and the daily brief.
