Terms of Service
This draft has not yet been published — no effective date has been set.
Draft notice: this page is a working draft, not a reviewed legal document. Every bracketed placeholder below (operating entity, governing law, registered address) needs to be filled in with real, verified information — and this notice removed — before Pinevon or Anchor is offered to real customers. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer.
1. Who these terms are with
Pinevon is [Pinevon legal entity name — e.g. "Pinevon, Inc." or "Pinevon LLC", plus jurisdiction of incorporation] ("Pinevon," "we," "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of pinevon.com, your Pinevon account, and the Pinevon Assistant chat widget (together, the "Service"). Your Pinevon account is also how you sign in to Anchor, Pinevon's first product — using Anchor itself is additionally governed by Anchor's own Terms of Service.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account. One Pinevon account can be used across Pinevon's products — closing it removes access to all of them.
3. The Pinevon Assistant
The chat widget on this site is an AI assistant grounded in publicly available facts about Pinevon and Anchor. It's provided to help you learn about the Service, not as professional, financial, or legal advice, and it will say so rather than guess when it doesn't know something.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to store or transmit unlawful content, to attempt to access another user's account or data, to reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the underlying models or source code, or to use the Service in a way that could disrupt it for other users.
5. Intellectual property
The Pinevon name, logo, and site content belong to Pinevon. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of that to you. Content you submit through the contact form or chat widget remains yours; you grant us a license to use it solely to respond to you and operate the Service.
6. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach of these Terms, including a security threat to the Service or other users. On termination, your data is retained or deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is." Pinevon is an early-stage company; we don't currently hold SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification, and we say so plainly rather than imply otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pinevon isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. [A liability cap and any jurisdiction-specific consumer-protection carve-outs should be added here with real legal review.]
8. Governing law
[Governing law and venue — e.g. "the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles" — to be set once the operating entity and its jurisdiction are finalized.]
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll post the updated version here with a new effective date; continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
