Refund and Cancellation Policy
How to cancel a paid plan, when refunds are given and how billing disputes are handled.
Version 0.2-draft · No effective date set yet · All legal documents
Draft — pending legal review. This document is a complete working draft prepared by the Pinevon team. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and no effective date has been set. It describes how the service is actually built and operated today; bracket-free wording is deliberate, but jurisdiction-specific terms must be confirmed by qualified counsel before it is relied on.
1. Scope
This policy applies to paid Pinevon products such as Anchor. Prices, billing periods, trials and included limits are shown at checkout and in your account. It does not reduce any right you have under mandatory consumer law.
2. Free trials
A trial lets you evaluate the product without charge. If a payment method is required, we tell you before the trial starts when it ends and what will be charged. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first charge.
3. Cancelling
- You can cancel a subscription at any time from the billing area of the product or by emailing billing@pinevon.com.
- Cancellation stops future renewals. Your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for, then the account moves to the free or expired state defined by your plan.
- We do not charge cancellation fees.
4. Refunds
- Initial purchase: if you are not satisfied, request a refund within 14 days of your first payment for a plan and we will refund it in full, unless you have materially abused the service.
- Renewals: renewal charges are generally not refundable once the period starts, except where we made a billing error, charged you after a valid cancellation, or the law requires otherwise.
- Service failure: if a serious outage or defect on our side prevented substantial use for a period, we may credit or refund the affected time.
- Add-ons and usage-based charges already consumed are not refundable.
- Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through the payment provider and typically take 5–10 business days to appear.
5. Plan changes
Upgrades take effect immediately with the price difference prorated where the provider supports it. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal. If a plan’s limits are lower than your current usage, we tell you what is affected before it changes.
6. Failed payments
If a renewal fails we retry and email you. If payment is still not received after the grace period stated in the notice, the account may be downgraded or suspended; your data is kept for the retention period described in the Privacy Policy so you can restore access by paying.
7. Taxes and currency
Prices include or exclude tax as shown at checkout. Where a payment provider acts as merchant of record, its terms and tax handling apply to the transaction.
8. Disputes and chargebacks
Please contact us first at billing@pinevon.com — we resolve most billing problems within two business days. A chargeback may lead to suspension while it is investigated.
9. How to request a refund
Email billing@pinevon.com from your account email with your invoice or order reference and the reason. We reply within three business days.
