Prepare your catalog for AI

What to gather before you add products, and why detail matters.

Why the catalog matters

Anchor’s assistant answers from your catalog. If a fact is not there, it will say it does not know rather than guess. The better the catalog, the more questions it can answer.

What to include

  • A clear name and a real price for every product.
  • A SKU, so imports and search stay reliable.
  • Category and a short description in your own words.
  • Variants for size, colour or options, each with its own stock.
  • Attributes that customers ask about (material, dimensions, socket type).

Common mistakes

  • Leaving prices blank and expecting the assistant to explain them.
  • Putting several products in one row.
  • Forgetting to mark discontinued products inactive.
